Since you are here and have obviously clicked on the About link you want to know something about me. Well read on and find out what makes me tick 
I am a software developer by trade and a fledgling photographer by night or at least I try my hand at photography.
Software Developer
I am a software developer by trade, I graduated in 2002 from the University of Calgary with a bachelor degree in Computer Science. Since then I have been employed with Pason Systems as a software analyst working on different a few different projects. These project have helped me gain experience in a lot of different platforms (linux, windows, etc) and a lot of differnet programming languages (.Net, Java, perl, python to name a few).
Lately I have been migrating toward and working as a project lead/manager. I think that eventually in my career I will end up here full time. You know how it goes, those who can’t do, teach.
Photographer
I have always had the shutter bug but not until the DSLR’s have become affordable to us the mass public did I really start to take this up. Now this is not to say that I didn’t have a SLR camera before I did get a older Yashika camera that had a few lenses from my dad but I really could figure things out. I tried but every time I would take a roll of pictures by the time I got them back from being developed I would forget what I did. So thank goodness for the instant gratification of digital.
My first and only DSLR the Canon 400D/XTI I got just before Christmas 2006 and I have been trying to improve my technique and figure out my style. Now by no means am I confessing to be a master photographer but since I am trying to learn I might as well share my findings with the world and maybe someday I will be good enough to inspire.
My main site is Photoquarium and here I will be posting what I think is my best work. I will be adding new stuff as I take a pictures that I feel I can share with the rest of you. I am hoping to look back at the photo’s in a few years and be able to see my progress to a great photographer.
